Autofill with LastPass using the iOS Safari extension

You can enable LastPass to autofill login credentials and form fill data when you access websites from your iOS device using the Safari mobile browser.

Enable LastPass for autofill

Before you begin: You must be using a mobile device with the following:

iOS device running iOS 16 or later
LastPass Password Manager app for iOS app installed and running v5.12.0 or later

Log in to the LastPass Password Manager app for iOS

Open the LastPass Password Manager app for iOS.
Log in with your email address and master password.

Enable LastPass in the iOS Safari extension

Open the Safari browser app.
In the Safari browser address bar, tap the extension icon in the bottom navigation menu to show the settings of Safari.
Tap Manage Extensions.
Toggle the LastPass switch.

Allow permissions for LastPass to save and autofill

Tap Extensions under the "General" header in the Safari settings menu.
Tap LastPass.
Under the "Permissions" header, tap the item you want to modify.
For optimal performance, LastPass recommends that you choose Allow. Choosing Deny or Ask will prevent LastPass from autofilling credentials in the Safari mobile browser.

Remember: If you chose Deny or Ask, you can enable LastPass for autofill from the browser by tapping the extension icon, then tapping LastPass. This will trigger an access request with the following options:

Allow for One Day
Always Allow on This Website
Always Allow on Every Website

Unlock LastPass

At specific intervals, you might need to unlock LastPass to autofill login credentials and form fill data when using the Safari mobile browser.

In the Safari browser address bar, tap the extension icon in the bottom navigation menu to show the settings of Safari.
Tap LastPass > Unlock LastPass.
Follow the prompts to unlock LastPass.

Results: You unlocked LastPass.

Use autofill with LastPass

Before you begin: You need to be logged into LastPass Password Manager app for iOS.

Open the Safari browser app and navigate to your website's login screen.
LastPass automatically fills in your credentials.

Troubleshooting: If your credentials are not filled in automatically, check that LastPass is enabled and unlocked.

Optional: To see all fillable credentials, tap the extension icon, then tap LastPass. You can select a different set of credentials and autofill, or copy the username or password for your desired credential set.
Optional: If you have enabled Touch ID, Face ID, PIN, or Require master password Re-prompt, you will be prompted to verify your login.

Results: You have used LastPass for autofill using the iOS Safari extension in the Safari mobile browser.
