Hi can someone tell me how much data was compromised in the last pass hack?
Hello @JamesB Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your concerns. I completely understand why receiving this notification would be unsettling, and I sincerely apologize for any worry it may have caused.
I would like to reassure you that, based on our investigation, your LastPass account has not been compromised. This incident was related to a security issue at a third-party vendor, Klue, which integrates with certain business systems. Importantly, the incident did not impact LastPass products, services, infrastructure, or customer vault data.
Your passwords, secure notes, credentials, and any other information stored within your LastPass vault remain protected by our security architecture and were not exposed as part of this incident.
The information that may have been accessed was limited to certain customer account records and support-related information stored within the affected third-party system. As soon as the issue was identified, LastPass disconnected the integration, completed remediation efforts, and rotated the affected credentials.
As a precaution, we recommend remaining alert for unexpected emails, phone calls, or messages that may attempt to impersonate trusted organizations. Please remember that LastPass will never ask for your Master Password.
I truly appreciate your understanding, and I'm sorry again for any concern this situation may have caused. If you have any additional questions about the incident or your account security, please let me know I'll be happy to help.
Kind regards,
