Secondary Password REQUEST

ADDITIONAL SECURITY REQUEST - This is more of a comment/request than a question. I have been a Last Pass customer for approx.15years. I have seen a lot of changes however, one that I haven't seen that I thought would eventually happen, is a complete different / separate password for "Password Re-prompt" associated with Secure Notes or Passwords. I mean…if my primary Master Password is hacked, then a "Secondary Password" associated with high-secure "Passwords" would be more secure. Simply re-entering a hacked Password is not very secure.

Thank you for the suggestion, and thank you for being a loyal customer.

LastPass uses a Zero‑Knowledge model, meaning your master password is the only key that can decrypt your vault, and even LastPass cannot access it. Because of this design, features like password re‑prompts rely on that same master password rather than a secondary one.

While a separate “secondary password” for sensitive items could add another layer of protection, current security is reinforced through things like multi‑factor authentication (MFA), device verification, and monitoring.
