Account activity retention only 3 months?

Hi LP Community, I checked my account activity today and my history only went back about 3 months. I have had a LP acct for several years so I was a bit confused that the history only started in April when I've never cleared the history. Is this normal or does it indicate that the history was cleared?

Hi @blep, great question — and totally understandable why that would look surprising!

What you're seeing is actually expected behavior. LastPass account history isn't stored indefinitely — it has a retention window, and older activity naturally drops off over time. The fact that your history only goes back ~3 months doesn't mean anything was cleared or that there's been any unauthorized access to your account.

If you're on a Free or Premium plan, the activity log is limited by design, typically ~3 months

. If you're on a Business plan, your admin has more control over retention settings.

A few things you can check if you want peace of mind:

• Review your current vault items — make sure everything looks as expected
• Check active sessions under Account Settings to confirm only your devices are logged in
• Enable or review your MFA settings to ensure your account is protected

If anything in your vault looks unfamiliar or out of place, that would be the time to reach out to our support team directly. But a 3-month history window on its own is nothing to worry about!
