Plugin LastPass in Chrome is renaming my Google Documents

Hello!

The LastPass plugin is automatically renaming my Google documents, Google Sheets, and Doggle Docs.

And there's no rollback to the old name in these Google apps!!

My Chrome version is Version 147.0.7727.139 (Official Version) 64-bit

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?

I have killed all of your active sessions. I have also cleared your sharing keys. To resolve this issue please do the following:

log out of the LastPass extension (red square on the top right hand side of your screen)
remove the LastPass extension (right click your mouse, select remove)
clear your cache and cookies from your browser for the last 7 days (settings, privacy and security)
add the LastPass extension (download it at lastpass.com/download)
log in and test it out
issue should be resolved by now

Hi everyone, I followed a 2-step process that seems to have worked.

First, I added the URL docs.google.com to LastPass Vault, in Advanced Options -> Autocomplete Settings -> URL Exceptions.

I chose the "never do anything" option.

Then, in the Google Doc, I clicked on the LastPass red icon that appears in the doc title, clicked on "more options," and selected "disable LastPass for this site."

The app will ask if you want to "pause" or "disable," and you click "disable" and confirm.

It seems to have worked.

Hello guys. Just did the steps you mentioned and it didnt work. It keeps changing the google doc name. Is it possible to disable the auto-complete option? cant find that either…

Thank you for sharing your experience.

While this behavior seems to be affecting some users, in my experience, it can easily go away by performing some basic troubleshooting without the need to enable Never URL rules. When you have a moment, please try these exact steps:

Delete the LastPass extension by going here and clicking 'Remove from Chrome'.
On Chrome, click the three dots at the top right corner and go to 'Settings'.
Go to Privacy and Security > Third-party cookies > See all site data and permissions.
Delete 'lastpass.com'.
Go back to the Chrome Web Store and reinstall LastPass.

This options are not available for me. I´m using Brave.
I also want to remove the checkbox inside the doc titel: it is completely annoying, since it is ON the name, so it is not possible to see what we type.
Please share a serious workaround for every main browser because next step is to uninstall lastpass and remove it: this bug it is very annoying.

For me it is all up to date. but could not apply the suggestions in Brave Browser: did not find those options. I disabled LastPass from Google.
Could you provide the solution for Brave and Safari as well please?

Hi, @Gaba.

At the moment, Brave isn’t a officially supported browser, so we can’t guarantee that LastPass will work as expected in that environment. That said, you can still try our standard troubleshooting steps here: Basic troubleshooting for LastPass.

As a possible workaround, you might want to consider adding the affected sites to your Never URLs list and selecting the “never do anything” option. This will prevent LastPass from interacting with those pages. You can learn more here: Manage Never URLs.

A única alternativa é mesmo desativar o autopreenchimento para o google.com.

Same issue here, this is very, very… very annoying (to say the least). This behaviour have been active for a few months for me, as soon as I drag a Google Sheet Chrome Window.

LastPass doesn't seem to be able to keep up with all the tech evolving around!

As a Premium / Team user since 2015, this kind of behaviour is not acceptable. We are strongly considering a switch to other better platforms.

Just fix your software!
