Can I as a Premium-user share my passwords with my wife, or does she have to be a premium account too?

Yes, you can share individual sites with your Wife and she only needs a Free account to access them. Keep in mind if she needs access on desktop and mobile devices she would need a paid account, at which point you could upgrade to LastPass Families.
