Lost access after change on the password iteration

Hi!

Last week, I was prompted to login again with my Master Password. It did not work, even though the password was correct. One I opened my vault on my desktop computer, I saw a log that my password had been changed. Thinking that was a security breach, I quickly reverted the password change, which logged me off in all my devices. Since then, I don't have access to my account anymore.

I tried all my previous passwords and nothing worked. It seems my account is now disabled. I even tried to recover the account with the authenticator app, but I get an error saying that there is no OTP available or that is not possible with my account.

I later saw that that log was just due to the change on the back-end on the password iteration. Even though I'm now relieved that my account was not compromised, I find this is ludicrous, since this change made my password to not work, led me to freak out and make the change that took me off of my account for good.

Can someone please help me?

I'm sorry for the confusion with regards to your LastPass account credentials.

After looking up your account history, I believe the message you saw related to an increase in your account password iterations count. This is a security change made by LastPass that should not have affected your current credentials. I can also confirm the account password hasn't been updated in many weeks, so it should still work as before.

I suggest typing out the password in a separate window, being careful of any capital letters, numbers or symbols, before copying it into the login page at lastpass.com. Sometimes a private browsing window will help with temporarily blocking previous cookies.
