Is it possible to search my vault by password?

I ask because I have a "free monitoring" due to a security breach. But the free service is telling me about a "dark web monitoring alert" but doesn't tell me the account. It only tells me the associated email address and it shows a few of the password characters such as:

I would like to change the accounts password, but, I don't know what account it is and a password this long I would have in my vault. I have way to many entries to search manually.

Or, if not, how would you suggest I go about looking for this account. The free monitoring service wants me to pay to get the details, and I would like to try and resolve for free first.

Welcome to the LastPass Community. About your issue, LastPass does not allow searching the vault by password for security reasons — searches can only be done by item name, username, or other metadata.

Since the monitoring alert only shows part of the password and the associated email, here are a few suggestions to help identify the account:

• Search by email address in your vault, as that’s usually linked to the affected account.
• If you have multiple entries with the same email, check the ones most likely related to the alert (recent logins or similar services).
• Consider updating passwords for any accounts tied to that email, starting with the most sensitive ones (banking, email, etc.).

The safest approach is to update passwords for any accounts associated with that email.
