Hello @Cindy Brock,
My name is Henry and I am happy to assist with your inquiry, and appreciate you contacting LastPass Support!
For this type of scenarios you can setup Emergency Access so that your trusted contact can get a copy of all the information in your vault.
LastPass support is unable to reset your Master Password and therefore, would be unable to assist on accessing your account. If you did not setup Emergency Access, the other person would need to have access to your email and know your Master Password. In case they don't know your Master Password but have access to your email and the device you used to log in, they can try account recovery. If they know your Master Password but have no access to your email, our support team may be able to assist but will need to follow a verification process.
If they don't have any of these, our support team would be unable to assist.
Thank you,
Henry | Customer Care
Thank you for this question, and answer.
@Henry Eduardo Ortiz I have a further question - where an employee wishes to set this up for their personal sites/passwords, is it possible to have the emergency access for the personal records, and a separate one for business, ensuring there is no data breach in the wrong data being accessed?
Or does the emergency contact have access to everything, irrespective of whether it is personal related or business?
Thank you in advance
Darren
