An example of the dropdown is attached.
The extension settings is where this option is located. After you click the laspass icon and then extension settings, there is a checkbox that says "show fill options automatically" that should be unchecked. Once that's done, the box doesn't show up any more.
I would like this gone as well. I prefer clicking the LastPass icon to get suggestions instead of it displaying a list of suggestions under an input field. No setting for this seems like a bug.
This is very intrusive.
I am a developer and have to login to so many apps daily. The dropdown is covering my login screens, can't see what is happening.
I'm thinking about quitting Last Password over this
Agreed there should be an option to disable this, it is confusing and doesn't necessarily interact well with whatever the Internet of Bugs throws at you.
I have my own "password suggestor" that works on the command line. In case there are really trash organizations that still demand "special characters" and squirrel noises in their passwords 30 years after this idea should have died with IBM terminals, I can deal with that (see XKCD 936)
Yes, please disable the "password suggestion" box. I don't use it and it hides the space where I want to type. So annoying!
Has there seriously been zero response from LastPass about this for 3 months??
This is an obnoxious "feature" that is the opposite of helpful.
It's a box that does not need to automatically get in the way of the website we're trying to use.
TURN IT OFF!!
The lack of response is very disappointing...
Please add the option to turn this off!
Please make is stop! It's very instrusive!
I think I figured it out! Click on the icon for the extension and then Account in the bottom right. Click on Extension settings. I basically unchecked anything that looked like autofill and i'm not seeing it any more! Hopefully this is a legal fix and not just a fluke for me. Good luck!
Thank you @User17327499772489292599and @User1736268672646114946 for the answers. Unchecking the option works great!!!
Thank you 92599 - that worked.
Can confirm that unchecking "show fill options automatically" remediates this issue.
