Sometime I don't want LastPass to overwrite a form prefilled with credentials to external services, but the only way to disable LastPass seems to be logging out.
Hi @lars
For those sites that you do not want LastPass to autofill web forms or login data, you may set up a permanent solution by editing your 'never urls' in the online account settings: https://support.lastpass.com/s/document-item?bundleId=lastpass&topicId=LastPass/Manage_Never_URLs.html&_LANG=enus
Otherwise, with LastPass logged in and remembering the web address, it will always attempt to autofill, update, or create a new vault entry for that site.
For new sites visited, you may tell LastPass not to save the entry, and the plugin window should close.
This is an annoying problem - There needs to be a temporary on-the-fly way to keep LastPass from overwriting information without complex changes that need to be changed back. How about a hot key to make a temporary fix?
I agree this is annoying. I want LastPass to remember my login details to the admin area for my WordPress site (so the never option doesn't work for me).
But once I'm in the admin area of WordPress I don't want it auto completing fields in my members area. It is screwing up my members fields and stopping them from accessing their protected content, because Last Pass is somehow populating me as the User in their account and people are then locked out.
And it is a pain in the neck because once you log out you've got to remember the long password to get back into Last Pass. Terribly frustrating
