LastPass browser add-on continually requiring re-logging in after change of account email address

After changing my LastPass account email address, and re-entering my account credentials into the LastPass app in Google Chrome, now, everytime I re-open the browser, the LastPass add-on icon changes from black to red to black to red and back to black. I then have to re-login into LastPass.

I have set the setting (Account/Extension settings/Advanced/Open login dialog when browser starts) to un-ticked, but this has no affect.

Clearing Chrome Cookies, cahed images and files also had no affect.

The LastPass add-on for Microsoft Edge is not experiencing and problems.

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 22H2, OS build 19045.3086

Google ChromeVersion 114.0.5735.134 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.

I have cleared the setting: Account/Extension Settings/Advanced/Share login state between browsers.

This seems to have fixed my issue.

In an effort to try to fix this problem, I tried Windows System Restore but for some reason my OS partition became unbootable. I then resorted to reinstalling the whole hard drive from a recent backup. Now everything appears to be working.

On the following day after things appeared to be working, the problem has reverted to the same condition as when I opened this post. The LastPass add-on icon changes from black to red to black to red and back to black. I then have to re-login into LastPass.

I've also noticed, that when I log into the actual LastPass website, an error message briefly shows near the top of the browser: A consistency check failed while loading your sites. Please Relogin.

A suggestion from a google search was to Clear my LastPass Cache.

I did this (Account/Fix a problem yourself/Clear local data) but this did not seem to work.

I then tried (Account/Fix a problem yourself/Refresh your vault) and this worked to allow me to log into the LastPass website, but it didn't fix the problem of the main issue in this post.

Note: Other devices seem to be working OK.
