About your issue, the best practice isremove your device from trusted devices, it could be that by mistake you set your device as trusted and it stop asking for 2FA

You can also set auto logoff settings from the extension, so your session will expire automatically after a period of time Manage your LastPass browser extension preferences

Having watched the video, I now understand the issue and solution. But it raises another question: I must have pressed the button saying 'Trust this device' every time I logged on to Last Pass (many hundreds of times!); but I always had to repeat the 2-factor identification routine EVERY TIME till it actually responded a few days ago, prompting my original question.
