I would like to add myself to the list of Brave users with a broken LastPass. Tried to uninstall and then reinstall but that did not help. Is there a way to downgrade to the older version that still worked?
Same issue here for 2 days now.
adding myself to the list of affected users... Not happy nor has customer service been proactive "not eta"? Not acceptable. I will wait 24 more hours prior to cancelling my membership.
I'm no longer able to log into LP on either of my BRAVE or EDGE browsers any longer... something has changed preventing me from logging in. It seems to be working on my Smart Phone (using my fingerprint) but when I go to a website on my computer it is tedious to lookup the password on my Smart Phone and then retype it into my Browser. What changed? It was working a few days ago and apparently something has changed.
I've been on LP for over a decade. Premium user. Advocate everywhere I've worked. Stuck it out through the ugly security issues.
Now you're not supporting one of the most important secure browsers on the market.
Is it finally time to reluctantly take my business elsewhere and side with all the naysayers?
Hello ,
My name is Henry and I am happy to assist with your inquiry, and appreciate you contacting LastPass Support!
I am sorry about the issues you are having with the extension on Brave browser. Brave browser is not one of our supported browsers. However, this issue has been escalated to our development team and a ticket has been created for them to work on a solution. There is no ETA that I can provide for when the issue will be solved but be sure that we are looking into it.
Thank you,
Henry | Customer Care
Dear HenryO, 'customer caring' just in words, the solution would simply be to DOWNGRADE TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION!! There is not needed a GENIOUS to do it BUT THE GUTS TO ADMIT TO HAVE FAIL!!!!! (anyway Dropbox seems to be the best alternaive and I'm using by time "JUST IN CASE", as Steve told in the WWDC 2005 about 'transition' from IBM PowerPC c.p.u. to Intel, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghdTqnYnFyg
Good news: Brave v1.68.128 resolved the issue!
Kudos to Brave for fixing this, and apologies to LP since the problem was apparently on the browser side, not the LP extension side.
Seems to be working again!!! WooHoo!
If Brave is not going to be supported then our company will be look into alternative pw managers.
Add me to the list of users experiencing this issue. To the LastPass developers: Ignoring this problem because you don't officially support Brave is shortsighted. Brave is built on the Chromium engine, so any issue here could potentially affect other Chromium-based browsers like Chrome, MS Edge, Arc, and Opera. With my 8 years of experience leading code development teams, I can assure you that where there's smoke, there's fire. Please investigate this promptly rather than dismissing it.
It wasn't Brave. It was affecting other Chromium and Webkit browsers. Glad Brave sorted it, though. Still looking for options. This was sort of the last straw for me.
