Global option for disabling autofill on new password creation

In the the current flow, adding a new password to LastPass means having to expand the advanced option and unchecking auto-fill. This is OK for one offs, but migrating tons of local only logins makes this step extra painful. Since its a defaulted check box, somewhere in the code is an option to disable auto-fill on new passwords. Would love either a global or user specific option to disable the auto select checkbox for auto-fill on new password creation.
Side note - why is auto-fill so aggressive and often so wrong? Filling out passwords on non password fields and blowing away typed data to fill with things it thinks are supposed to go in that field.

This way, our team can prioritize and address your suggestion more effectively.

LastPass will autofill passwords fields depending on how they are hard coded, meaning that LastPass will capture data if the field belongs to a password, username, address, etc. It all depends on how websites are designed/coded and is not something that is controlled or fixable by LastPass.
