Testing for Account Recovery

I am testing for account recovery using the browser extension. I click on "forgot master password", then enter my E-mail address then get E-mail & SMS/text that has the 6-digit code. I enter the code & then click on the option to enter a previously set-up and saved 32-character code. I enter it & I get error that tells me incorrect code. Why can I not recover the account IF I forget master password? I am running a Windows 10 PC (OS Build 19045.7291). It is a 32-bit operating system with a x64-based processor. I read via LastPass that a 64-bit operating system and Windows 10 or 11 is required. Could that be the primary problem or could you suggest anything I could try? Thank you

Thank you for your time and patience, my apologies for the delay and issues with recovery with one time password. In this case I do not think that is an issue with your OS however I would like to mention that the one time password should be one that has been generated after your last Master password change as this invalidates all previous one time passwords.

Also account recovery will always prompt you to first do regular account recovery before, so make sure to be following the steps on this guide and you're using a valid one time password: Reset your master password using a one-time password.
