Login is now automatic. Why?

I have been using the free version of LastPass for several years with no problems. Now, however, whenever I open it from the icon, the login info, INCLUDING MY LASTPASS PASSWORD, is automatically populated. I am not tech savvy enough to know how to prevent this and to have it require that I type in the password.

Can anyone help?

We apologize in advance for the issues you have been experiencing using your LastPass account.

To resolve this issue please do the following:
log out of the LastPass extension (red square on the top right hand side of your screen)
remove the LastPass extension (right click your mouse, select remove)
clear your cache and cookies from your browser for the last 7 days (settings, privacy and security)
add the LastPass extension (download it at lastpass.com/download)
log in and test it out
