Has Lastpass been hacked?
Hello, @Independant5
If your asking if LastPass' data severs have experienced any recent unauthorized access, the answer is no. Should there ever be a breach we will inform all customers after taking the necessary security measures to close the gap.
If you have any concerns about your LastPass account, I'd suggest checking its history within the Vault itself. This will show if anyone logged in besides yourself recently.
Your vault is only as secure as your login password plus secondary and tertiary authentication methods, which is why we require a minimum of 12 characters with upper case, lower case, numeric, and special characters. However, this is just the base requirement, and you may increase the length and complexity even more should you feel the need. The contents of your Vault can never be viewed by LastPass, and we do not have the ability to force an account password change from our end. Should you find any evidence of unauthorized access to your LastPass Vault, you will want to change the account password immediately and check the status of any important personal web accounts + related financial institutions.
To dive even deeper into your own data security, we suggest keeping abreast of all Dark web Monitoring alerts, visible from within your online Vault.
