I finally did it. After years of using the same three passwords for everything (I know, I know), I signed up for LastPass Premium yesterday after my email showed up in one of those "have I been pwned" checks.
I've installed the browser extension on Chrome and the app on my iPhone and I can see my vault — but honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed. I imported some passwords from Chrome and they're all in there, but I have no idea if I've set this up correctly or if there's a right order to do things in.
few things I'm not sure about:
- Do I need to do anything special to get autofill working on my iPhone or does it just work?
- I have a lot of duplicate and old logins in my vault from the Chrome import — is there a way to clean those up, or do I just delete them manually?
- How do I know if my master password is strong enough? I picked something I'd remember but now I'm second-guessing it
- Is there anything I should set up right away that most people wish they'd done from the start?
I've watched a couple of YouTube tutorials but they seem to be from a few years ago and the interface looks different now. Any help from people who've been using this a while would be really appreciated.
