Is there a way to search my vault for a specific password?I have over 200 hundred items in my vault and need to find an item with a specific password.I know the password, but I do not know the item the password is associated with. I have not found a way to do search for a specific password.Please help.

Welcome to the LastPass Community.

Unfortunately there's no way to search by a password, you can search by the email or the name of the item only.

I suggest you export your data and look in the exported document by the password, you can find the steps here Export vault data from LastPass as a generic CSV file

Can we make this a more convenient feature instead of exporting this which then gets stored to storage which then could be backed up unintentionally? Dark web monitoring services usually report the password that is compromised and not the website too. So, having a search for password feature would be nice. For security, you can prompt for the master password again and do MFA if set up.

There is currently a feature idea to implement a way to search your vault items by the password for the site. At the moment we don't have an ETA on when this is going to be implemented but once implemented all user will be notify.

I 100% agree! Dark web monitoring will provide the password that has been compromised from a data breach so it would save us a ton of time to be able to search the vault for the associated password and immediately change it. Especially if the password was reused on another site (this practice isn't used much anymore with auto generated passwords and password managers, but many years ago it was common to re-use passwords).

Agreed. LassPass should have this feature so that we can easily search and know which password in our vault has been compromised.

I need this as well. More and more people have dark web monitoring due to various data breaches. This monitoring includes notifications about email addresses and passwords found but not the sites. I need to be able to quickly search my vault to see if the password is still in use and make changes if necessary.

Another vote for adding this as a feature for the same reason. Dark web monitoring alerted me that a specific password was compromised but I have hundreds of sites stored. Exporting a CSV file is a work around but this would seem to be an easy feature to add.

The feature requested was sent some time ago, however, we don't have ETA on when or if it's going to be implemented in the near future. We do add all users that request the feature to the feature request list so it can have more votes for say it in some way. If the feature gets implemented every single user will be inform of this option coming soon or already applied.
