Chrome extension does not open to allow login yet Firefox does.

I have LP version 4.137.1 with developer mode on, yet when I click on the black LP icon it shows a very small blank window (about the same size as the icon - red arrow ).

I have Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

All the other browsers open the LP login window. Any clues as to why Chrome does not do this?
