Can't log in after installing LastPass for Safari extension on Mac

Question

I have uninstalled 'old' LastPass app on Mac and installed new LastPass for Safari.  Now I can't log in.  When I open the app I just get the "LastPass for Safari" box with "Start using LastPass in Safari" and the 5 steps (which I have already done).  Can't get to login in screen.......

I am having the exact same issue.  It appears that support is not available for free accounts.

Same here.  Wish I could have a live agent to help.  For me, though, I can't get past step 4 "Always Allow on Every Website".  It does not appear with the extension.  This is very frustrating, with no way out.  I guess after December 21, LastPass is DOA.
