Using Lastpass Premium. Lastpass for Windows Desktop no longer works. How do I fix it?

I asked this a while back, but I couldn't find the topic when I checked.

I've always used the Lastpass desktop because the browser version is "less than productive".  Recently, the desktop version CRASHES when I start the browser version, and if I'm using the desktop version the BROWSER version crashes when I start it.

HOW do I get Lastpass to allow me to use both versions?

I think your question might work better in it's own topic...  This one (in theory) should be getting a solution to using both the browser version and the desktop version of Lastpass.  Which I'd REALLY love to get a useful answer for as the browser version is a lot less convenient.
