Won't accept my password anymore

I used my LP account this morning, this afternoon it won't accept my password. I know I've entered it correctly. I even double checked with my hardcopy I keep in a safe. The email address is correct too.

I've been using LP for years, never had a problem until now, unless you includecannot connect to its server issues last year 2020I set 2FA up on my account last year, I also set up LP to log me out after a period of inactivity or if the browser closes. I'm the only user on the computer no one else has access to it.

LP won't even accept my OTP that I also kept as a hard copy in the safe.

Please advise.

Turn off your internet completely. Then login to your vault using your master password and email address. This should work despite being offline. Retrieve whatever information you were looking for.

In order to properly use LastPass again, you need to verify your decive and location via the email Lastpass sent to your registered email address. For whatever reason Lastpass seems to have deleted all my devices from their list of recognized devices last night - the same may have happened to you.

My computer has Antivirus and my browser checks websites I visit for safety. Last year I also disabled access to my LP account from outside my country.

This same issue happened to me on May 25th, 2021. I lost access to my account from all computers and phones. THe password reset did not work either and now I have no access to support because I cannot log in. What a lame support workflow process.

Thank you for your reply. I got back in to my vault, I missed the email asking me to verify a new device or location.

I don't understand why this happened as I'm using the same device and location as always! Anyway after clicking the verify link I got back in, however, it has happened again asking me to verify my device or location, this is going to get very annoying, real fast.

If it keeps happening I doubt that I will renew my account if it continues, if so I will probably swap to Dashlane or Keeper.

Thank goodness I backed my passwords .CSV file to KeePass 2 Portable, on a USB that I keep in my safe.

With no help from LastPass, I was persistent enough to stumble over a post where someone recommended this as an option.

I was able to disconnect an old computer from the internet, boot it up, use the LastPass Chrome plugin to access the account while not connected to the internet and export my passwords. I then had to use a USB drive to transfer the file to the other computer that was connected to the internet, DELETE MY LASTPASS ACCOUNT DATA (WTF!) and then import the CSV file that I had exported. What a joke...

Clearly, my password was functional as I was able to use it to log in. Clearly, something that LASTPASS did corrupt my account and broke it. With no help from the team at LASTPASS I was able to recover my passwords.

In my search to find a solution, I discovered that numerous people have been harmed by the corruption of accounts by LASTPASS. There is something bad happening at LASTPASS to cause this and their support team is making the matter worse by forcing you to log in for support. THis is impossible given that is what so many people need help with in the first place.

Thanks to wasting 4 hours of my life today, causing panic while fearing that my passwords were compromised, causing this issue to happen, not providing support and for making users help each other I will not be renewing my LASTPASS account when it is time to renew. Today was painful and I won't continue to give my hard-earned dollars to a company that clearly is only looking out for itself.

This fixed the problem for me twice in as many days. Check youremail to see if it's asking you to verify a new device or location. Don't forget to check your spam folder if you can't see it.

I agree; when my subscription runs out I'm looking elsewhere too, the least they could do is let their customers know an update is coming and make it easier to contact tech support when things go wrong 🤕😭😡 I ended up having to use twitter to , DM, @LastPassHelp; by the time they replied I had figured it out myself after a sleepless night worrying that my account might have been compromised.

Once An Accident, Twice A Coincidence, Three Times A Pattern of incompetence! My opinion of LastPass Premium service so far; including tech support🤠🤠🤠
