Lastpass browser extension asks password twice

Question

I have an issue with lastpass browser extension since recently: I have to enter my password 2 times in order to log in. Only after second time I can access my vault.

How can I fix it?

It is crazy.  I keep posting links to these Community posts to my support ticket trying to convince them this is a systemic LastPass problem.  They tell me everyone that is having this problem is having it for a different reason so they can't just provide a fix for it.

I am telling my users to just sign in twice until we replace LastPass when our subscription is up next year.

This is crazy.  We are also experiencing this issue and my support ticket has been open for months. I have provided video recordings.  I have cleared cache, I have even started on a new laptop...just installed LastPass extension on Chrome and again it is happening.   LastPass is going to start to lose business if they don't resolve this.   I'm ready to move to something better.

Many users are reporting this issue.  So far support has not acknowledged it as a problem with LastPass.

For what it's worth, clearing browser cache and cookies and clearing local data from the extension fixes it temporarily, but the problem returns the next day (or maybe next time you need to sign in).
