First, the account I'm logged into here with IS NOT THE SAME AS MY ACCOUNT FOR LASTPASS. I believe my "regular" account here is the same as Lastpass 'cause when I tried to log in here IT WANTED THE SAME *&^%$#@ AUTHENTICATOR CODE THAT LASTPASS IS DEMANDING.
LastPass Premium, 2 users, me and the domestic associate…
Lastpass WAS working. Went traveling for a few weeks, worked fine with the laptops the whole time. Came home, booted up the desktop. Still Worked. ALL NORMAL.
Today I rebooted the desktop and Lastpass wanted the authenticator code when I logged in. I have NO idea WHY it wanted the authenticator code - this is a desktop, it hasn't gone anywhere, moved, changed or done ANYTHING NEW.
But, I opened Google authenticator and gave it the number and “FAILED”. Tried again, a few times with different codes and it FAILED.
Got my wife in here with HER authenticator – which has EXACTLY the same codes on it as mine, and tried hers. FAILED.
Eventually instead of FAILING, Lastpass SUSPENDED THE ACCOUNT FOR FAILING TOO MANY TIMES.
SO, now the ACCOUNT is suspended. And all the passwords I need are buried in LASTPASS, which has puked all over itself.
There APPEARS to be NO alternative to the authenticator code when that doesn't work - LIKE SENDING ME A CODE TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS - or SOMETHING.
The ONLY thing that's coming in by email is a link to DISABLE the authentication, WHICH APPARENTLY DIDN'T WORK 'cause it kept demanding it 'til it suspended the account.
What do I have to do to get this thing UN-SUSPENDED and logged in?
I ATTEMPTED to reach "Lastpass Support", WHICH POINTED ME BACK HERE. Please tell me this forum ISN'T the only support Lastpass has - there's a phone number SOMEWHERE, right? Where an actual, live human fixes stuff like this...
