passwords for smartphone apps vs browser URLs

It seems to me that, by default, credentials for smartphone apps are stored in a different vault folder to passwords for URLs. Can someone confirm this, or clarify how the vault handles the two different situations please? This matters because it can be frustrating when I attempt to launch a site from a PC Browser only to find that the site is an android-based app, and so it doesn't open. TIA .... Greg

@gvm733 We are working on several improvements for LastPass autofill functions for mobile users, including a way for customers to report new websites or apps that won't accept the fill attempts. I think this will benefit you in the near future.

This behavior can occur because many companies have built specific mobile versions of their websites, which vary slightly in the web address and LastPass' ability to recognize them. Do you have any specific examples that you're having the most difficulty with?

Unfortunately not one that is public enough that I can share. I remember an example though where the browser url was prefixed with Android, e.g. www.android.xxxx.com.

The app login credentials for my smart phone apps don't seem to be saved in Lastpass as a matter of routine. Shouldn't they be saved? If they are not, it becomes possible in some circumstances for people to access my apps.
