How can I add Google Play to LastPass Authenticator? I can't find a QR code for it.
If you scanned a QR code to add it to Google Authenticator you can do the same with LastPass Authenticator, that process is the same. From what information you have provided, I believe you are talking about your Google Account.
So I guess Lastpass Autheticator isn't quite TOTP-compliant after all, since it can't process Google Play Store. I agree that there are at least two ways around this: log into it normally, or use Google Authenticator. Still, it's disappointing. Perhaps someone from LP would like to fix this.
Hi@"pwabrahams", welcome to the community.
You can enable 2FA on your Google account, but I do not beleive that 2FA is possible for the Google Play app itself. You can set Google Play to prompt for your Google password before every purchase.
LastPass Authenticator is also TOTP compliant, meaning it is compatible with all apps and websites that support Google Authenticator. As long as the site offers a QR code to be scanned it can be added to LastPass Authenticator.
The only authentication options that I can see for the Play Store app on Android are fingerprint or your Google account password.
Google Authenticator seems to be able to do this. It shows up as simply Google. So why not Lasspass Authenticator?
It's too bad that this is necessary. If I didn't have Google Authenticator, I'd still have the problem.
