Browser extension 'Log out after this many minutes of inactivity' isn't working

Question

I have the browser extension set to logout after 60 mins of inactivity, however this isn't working. I can leave my laptop overnight, and when I open it the next day the extension is still active and logged in.

I'm using Chrome Version 92.0.4515.157 - I can't upgrade this as my Chromebook has reached its auto update expiration date. Could the browser version be causing the issue?

My extension is not logging out - this used to work fine until a few months ago.  This is a huge security issue, so I'd really appreciate if this was fixed ASAP!  I am running the Chrome extension v4.130.2.  Please let me know if you need more information.

There was no option to update the extension within the browser setting, so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. However, because my browser isn't on the latest version (as I mentioned earlier, I can't update this) I can't re-install the extension. So now I don't have the extension at all, which is a little frustrating....

If your extension is not udpated, you can update it from within the Manage Extensions option of your browser or by removing it and downloading it again.
