I am sorry about the issues you may have with the update. We are continuously working to improve our communication channels. The information regarding the update was sent via email to affected users. The Mac App used to be distributed directly from our website, however the new version will be distributed from the App Store which should allow to keep the latest version installed automatically. Once installed, you will notice no changes on the app or extension.
