The use case: multiple websites[^1], each with different dbs, use the same same credential authority (SportsEngine). It's a weird single-signon; whatever it is, it's outside of my ability to change.
What I'm currently doing: add the name of every website that uses the same un and pw in the notes of the Lastpass entry. When signing in to one of these websites, search in Lastpass for the website, copy pw, paste in the website, ignore Lastpass request to save the pw in the "new" website. Changes in pw are only tracked if they are done in the website that Lastpass tracks.
The other alternative is to save each website as as different website, but Lastpass will keep incorrectly warning you that you're using the same pw for different websites and ask you to change the pw. Once you change the pw in one website, then you have to change the pw in many Lastpass websites 😞
Is there a better way to manage this.
[^1]: aysou.org, aysofc.org, [youth sports volunteering].org. Each one allow sign in, have different information about the user, but all share the same un and pw.
