A little background: I have mfa and a secure password on my account that I know. Not only do I know it, I keep it in a text file on my desktop. I've had to contact Lastpass support in the past because I didn't know my master password.... well.... actually I did. I had it saved in that text file on my desktop. I had to get Last Pass support to intervene, I explained that I knew what my password was because I had it saved in my text file. In order to 'fix' the problem last time, I had to get Last Pass support to set my account to take a new master password, and I once again pasted in the value from my text file... as I always do.
Fast forward to now, I have one device that still accepts the master password, and all other devices don't accept the master password, however even though I'm logged in, it asks me again to provide my master password, which it doesn't like.
I can also change my password through the accounts panel, and it shows me my old password.... which matches my text file password.... so I don't know how I can both hold the master password and NOT hold the master password.
So I tried to resolve this through the other two lastpass customer support options but both of those forms generate errors saying "you must proide a value in this field" and I'm like "I have clearly provided both of the only two options you can put in that field and you still have an error. Who wrote this terrible terrible software!?".
So, all I'm trying to do is take my passwords elsewhere. Or just save them as text files on my fucking hard disk. I don't care. There is nothing more useless that a password service where the password to log in is constantly flaking out.
