Lastpass IOS app using passwordless

My new iPhone 17 is not working when using the Lastpass app using passwordless set up. My iPhone 16 worked fine, and as far as I can tell, I'm using the exact setup with the new iPhone 17. I use Lastpass settings to: “Security/Log in with Face ID”. I then input my master password which responds with ”Set up passwordless” in red. After this, I get a green check mark. Note that I have engaged “Unlock with Face ID”. However, after I log out and then log in, I never get the option to login using Face ID. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for bringing this to the table — we really appreciate you flagging it. You're absolutely right to expect a seamless experience, especially since it worked fine on your iPhone 16.

There’s a known issue specifically affecting the passwordless setup on the LastPass app. Our development team is actively working on a fix, but unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA at the moment. We're sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

In the meantime, you might consider using your master password for login and disabling the passwordless option temporarily, just to maintain access. If you haven’t already, it’s also worth checking that your iPhone 17 is running the latest iOS version and that the LastPass app is fully updated.
