Why does my browser extension automatically sign me out constantly?

I use the LastPass browser extension within my Microsoft Edge browser. For some reason the extension automatically signs me out all the time. I am forced to re-enter my login information, and verify for the 2FA as well.It occurs more often than just when closing and then opening the browser. It will happen even during using the browser after I have already signed into my account. I have tried uninstalling the extension and re-installing. I have also tried clearing my browser cache and running the repair feature as well. I am unsure what is causing this occur and would love any help or guidance.

I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. I believe the issue with the constant log out might be a feature under account settings, can you please check that the account log out settings and extension log out can be found here: Manage automatic logout

Please let me know if this make a difference under account settings the maximum is 2 weeks and from the extension the settings should be turned off. Also, please keep in mind that if you are using a VPN is normal that it will log you out constantly since the IP address change and might not recognize your location.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I used to stay logged in for weeks but since recently every day when I want to used it the first time, I'm having to login again.

Exactly the same thing here. Thanks to a passkey I can confirm the login quickly with TouchID, but it still a pain compared to weeks without having to login before!

I tried all the recommended steps as well without any luck.. the issues remain. We can only hope for a solution from LastPass and/or Microsoft, this cannot be a user fail.

The setting you mention USED to say 0, if I remember correctly. And Indeed, now I checked it again it's set to 1 day. I've set it to the max of 2 weeks.

I also noticed every trusted device has to be trusted again for a maximum of 30 days.

I suppose I'm meant to feel safer now...I'll remember to do that. For at least 2 weeks.

Indeed there must have been some change from the LP side, I remember the 0 (= infinite?) as well. Anyway, having set this to 2 weeks my Edge extensions keeps its login state 👌
