I joined when I got an email that my father wanted to share with me, and he received confirmation that I joined, but I can’t see anything shared. I’m also his emergency contact but nothing comes up. Any help?

Welcome to the LastPass Community.

If after you sign up, using a regular computer, access your LastPass vault go to the left side panel, click on sharing center, then go to share with me and accept the password shared, in case you cannot see the password please ask to your father to share the item again with you. Once done, reload your account page and look once again for the shared password.
