I maintain lastpass for our company and passwords need to often be updated and shared across multiple people. Lastpass is a great tool but it has received such a poor reputation here for the headaches it causes.
Individuals often don't understand that the password in lastpass often conflicts with a stored browser password they have. Often times, they will try logging in using the autofill from a browser (which contains an obsolete password because someone else changed it). We get locked out of our accounts and people complain that Lastpass never works.
There are too many individuals to sit down and manually change browser or lastpass extension settings for and trying to get them to use passwords in a methodical way is not practical. People just want to be able to navigate and go. They don't think about being careful about copying and pasting data explicitly (and often the clipboard will malfunction anyway).
If there was a option to prioritize lastpass autofill, I feel like that would mitigate alot of our issues. I'm not sure what the standard algorithm is for how competing passwords between the browser and Lastpass resolve.
