My collegue can see my shared passwords through LastPass.

Greetings. I just installed LastPass (I am still on the premium trial period) because I need to share some passwords with collegues.

I shared a password to a collegue on the "Sharing Center"... she also registered on LastPass, signed in and accepted the sharing. Then she click on "Launch"... and the first thing that happened was that chrome asked her to save the password... and on the side there is the "eye button"... where she, of course, clicked and view my password.... just what I wanted to prevent, and the main reason why I chose LastPass.

My question is ... Did I do something wrong? How can I prevent this from happening again?

Hello,

This is a limitation of all password managers.While shared passwords are hidden in LastPass, when you share an item, regardless of whether you enable the "Allow Recipient to View Password" option, it ispossible for the person the password was shared with to obtain shared passwords using another password manager, such as a browser's built-in password manager as seen in your screenshot and clicking the "eye" icon to view the password. Once the password is stored outside of LastPass, there is not way to limit the user from seeing the password. For this reason, LastPass recommends that you generate a secure password specific to the site that you’re sharing in order to avoid sharing any passwords that you’re uncomfortable with the recipient obtaining or seeing.
