Can't log in to LastPass on Computer using various VPN Servers

Hi

I have looked at the other posts and have not been able to find my issue. Recently, I have had trouble signing in to LastPass using either Firefox or Chrome. I use a VPN and the server location changes often. Most of the time I can no longer sign in. I did find a server that will allow me to sign in but I like to change servers periodically. I am in touch with my VPN Provider (NordVPN) so far have not found a solution. Don't know yet if it is LastPass, Firefox, Chrome, or NordVPN that is causing the problem. Had no problems in the past until a few weeks ago. Anyone else have similar issues that can give me some help? Thanks!!!!! PS Running Windows Pro 64-bit

If you are having trouble signing into your LastPass accountplease check your emailfor a verification email from LastPass. When LastPass detects new devices and IP addresses (such as when using a VPN) we send you an email to verify it is you attempting to sign in. Please be sure to check your email (including junk/spam/all mail folders) for an email from LastPass to verify your log in.

You can disable these emails in your Account Settings if you'd like, although we would definitely recommend enabling multifactor authentication as and added layer of security for your account if you disable this setting:

Open your LastPass Vault, click Account Settings on the left side menu of the Vault
Click Show Advanced Settings
Scroll down to the Security section, make sure "Don't require email verification from unknown devices and locations" is disabled. Click Save.

That did it, it corrected the problem. Tried different servers in different locations and all worked!!!

Not sure why it changed unless LastPass was updated recently but it is working now.

I am having a similar problem. I always use a VPN (NordVpn) when I use my computer. I also have 2-factor authentication enabled for LastPass so every 30 days LastPass would ask me to input the 6 digit number that Google Authenticator provides, I would enter this number to authenticate it was me and no problem. But lately after I input the numbers LastPass would still block me from signing in. Last pass does send me an email that someone attempted to sign in from a state (server) where it places me. I try several new authenticator numbers and nothing. The only thing that would allow me to sign in is if I turn off NordVpn for a few minutes then enter the authenticator numbers and then I can sign in to LastPass. Then I would then turn on NordVpn again.

I would think that by entering the Master Password and the 2 factor authenticator number LastPass would allow access but that is not happening...

Do I need to then turn off the email notification in settings to verify that is me and just use the Google Authenticator only?

Hi @chinomalon,

You can disable these verification emails if you'd prefer, we would recommend enabling MFA for your LastPass account if you do this as an added layer of security (since you already have MFA enabled you would then just need to verify using your MFA method.) You can turn these emails off by opening your Vault, then clicking Account Settings > Show Advanced Settings > scroll down to the Security section, disable the "Don't require email verification from unknown devices and locations." option, click Update.

I often use different VPN plugins for Chrome and log in from different countries and LastPass requires me to re-enter the master password several times a day to confirm that it's me. Is it possible to make my Chrome browser a trusted device? No one else uses it except me. Or some other way to solve this problem!
