I've had zero issues with passwordless LastPass sessions since implementation on multiple devices. I would destroy all previous passwordless instances in your account admin panel, and configure it again from scratch.

Thanks, but that is not passwordless, it's second factor.  Try setting up lastpass on a brand new computer and you will need to input your password first, then you can use their second factor FIDO key, etc. to keep you signed in.

passwordless is exactly that, no passwords needed.  Look at things like Outlook.com or Gmail accounts where we can sign-in to a brand new device without a password at all.  ?
