For months now lastpass logs out when my browser is closed although both "Log out when all browsers are closed" and "Log out after this many minutes of inactivity" boxes on extension are not checked

When LastPass logs you out at the moment you close your browser but no feature on our end is triggering this, this could be due to settings on the browser itself. On Chrome, it could be set to clear browsing data on Close. This article from Google, shows how to enable it, so you can use it to disable it as well.
