This is NOT an issue with forgetting my password.
I am a premium last pass user and my account automatically renews every year. This year I had an interruption in service because the card I had on file was expired. This changed my account status back to a free user, thus signing me out of my other devices due to limits on number of devices. I took me a day to realize what had happened and get my account back in order. My subscription payment went through and should now be back to premium status.
When attempting to log back into my devices via the last pass chrome extension I now receive the following error: "An unknown error occurred." I know for a fact that this is not an issue with my password. I even attempt an incorrect password intentionally just to see if I get a different error and I get the following: "Check your master password and try again." I get these same errors regardless of OS, Web Browser, Mobile App. I can't login at all.I never had these issues before and not sure what else would be causing this error. I know correlation does not imply causation, but in this case it seems plausible.
I attempted the following items for troubleshooting.
- Checked internet connectionand attempted to connect from cellular service as well
- Reviewed firewall settings that may be causing issues (none)
- Uninstalled/reinstalled mobile app and chrome extensions for lastpass
- Cleared browser cache, cookies and other site data
The last thing I would like to mention is that it is very difficult to get in contact with LastPass customer support. There are only two options: Log into your account to get in touch with a support agent or use this support forum. Obviously the former is not possible if you can't access your account. PLEASE HELP!!!
