Lastpass SMS is not working

Hey there,

Got myself into a bit of a bind with my LastPass account and really need some advice. So here's the deal: I enter my email and master password, then hit the "Send me an SMS passcode" button. The site says "SMS Passcode sent!", but I'm getting nada - no SMS at all. I even gave the "Call me" option a whirl, but just ended up with a "Multifactor authentication failed" message. I've given it multiple shots, but no luck.

Here's the kicker: SMS is the only multi-factor authentication method I've set up for my LastPass account. So, I'm kind of at a standstill here. All my passwords are trapped in my LastPass vault and without access, I'm basically out of commission work-wise. Has anyone run into something similar or have any tricks up their sleeve? Really appreciate any help you can offer!

I am facing the same issue. I need to pass the MFA but am unable to receive SMS Passcode and calls.

The issue I'm facing is exactly the same as yours.

Both SMS and phone calls are ineffective, I can't even receive the 'Request help logging in' email, and no one responds to my posts on the forums.

Now, I'm at a complete loss.

I am facing the same issue and cannot login to my account.

I know my master password but MFA doesn't work and i cannot receive SMS or call.

I clicked on "request help loginin" i put my mail account but nothing happen after.

I need really to access my account.

Although I received the support email and have explained my situation as requested in the email, it's been 48 hours and there's still no response.

The same is happening to me. I am at a standstill with work and personal accounts because LastPass logged out at a computer restart, and now I can't get in. I've NEVER been able to get an SMS when I click on it. I have received a text like an hour later on occasion, but the code expires within minutes. Time to switch to another company that doesn't have these issues. They're costing me a lot of lost revenue today and yesterday!

As outlined in the best answer on this thread, you may need to temporarily deactivate MFA on your LastPass account in order to gain access. While SMS authentication is an easy tool to use, it is not always reliable. A better option would be to use the Authenticator app itself, and utilize the code system. You can even create backup codes if you think you'll be off-grid at some point.
