I just had to reinstall the extension on a MS Edge browser. Some quick search and it seems that LastPass needs access to the clip board. While that makes sense, I feel this should be worded better. When the whole purpose is to manage my passwords, it makes me nervous to simply allow the app "modify my data." I hope the LastPass team is monitoring these community forums. In today's age, a little more explanation would go a long way.
