Passwordless asks for USB key rather than fingerprint

I'm trying to use the fingerprint scanner on my Dell XPS 15 9570 to do passwordless login to LastPass.

The fingerprint scanner works well with Windows 11 Hello.

In Lastpass - Vault - Account Settings - Passwordless I select "Use Windows Hello".

Next time I try to log in a window appears saying "Insert a security key into the USB port" and I have to go back to using a password.

Does anybody know how to make passwordless use the fingerprint scanner?

Apparently, it is not possible to use biometrics on multiple devices on Lastpass. I already use fingerprint authentication on my Mac for Lastpass login, so it appears that Windows Hello cannot be used with Lastpass at the moment.

After setting up Lastpass to use Windows Hello, I could no longer use fingerprint authentication on my Mac. To fix this, I had to opt out of both and then re- setup it.

You will need to verify the biometrics integration again via your 2-FA selection (SMS/MFA etc).

I have the same problem with Windows 10 and Edge browser. I had set it up to use Windows Hello fingerprint but now it keeps asking for a USB key. The user interface for confirmation is confusing because it seems to imply you can choose one or the other, but you only get the USB option.

Lastpass Support appear to be giving advice contradictory to the information provided in the user interface.

I have the exact same issue with my new Lenovo laptop, even though this problem was reported here a year ago. Of course, I am using the latest version of the LastPass app, as I received this Lenovo laptop a week ago.

Has this still not been fixed??? Oh my lord! It's been a year! I'm glad I found others with the same issue. Been breaking my head for an hour now. Somehow, evena fter removing MFA Yubikey from LastPass, it keeps promting me to use it at every log in....
