Authenticator App Reset

Hi

I was asked to reset my Authenticator App today. I did so, now nothing logs in. I cannot login to get support because i cannot log in.

The authenticator gives me a notification. but the timestamp is very strangeand i just get a failed popup on accept.

Doesn't work for lastpass app and for lastpass chrome extensions.

Anyone know what to do?

I am having the same issue. I was able to get in and reset my authenticator app, but then when I have been going to login again, it asks me to check my email to verify my device. No emails have come through. Completely locked out of all my accounts and last pass as a result. My phone, web browser, personal laptop. Everything.

I am having exactly the same issue after going through exactly the same process.

So I currently cant get into any accounts because I can't log into Lastpass ... and I can't get any Lastpass support because I can't log into Lastpass

I have exactly the same issue here, frustrating that cannot then contact support as cannot log in. Desperately need this working as unable to work without access. Have sent private message to AshC as per message above, fingers crossed!

Just to add a +1 to this thread too. It seems like the top three threads on this forum are possibly all the same issue, my identical problem also started yesterday morning after updating my LastPass entry as requested in Google Authenticator, now I am locked out as I don't receive the emails they claim to send.

Interestingly I tried a master password reset out of desperation, and this was successful, and I got a glimpse of my vault as it re-encrypted the passwords, but it asked me to log back in with the new password, and as soon as it did that I was back to square one.

To the various authors on these threads, can you post if you get any response at all from LastPass? I like to think you've all been silently fixed, but I suspect you haven't.

When i try to login to my pc it needed the authenticator because i had authenticator in my old phone. In the new phone i can't setup authenticator because i must login to pc and take the qr code. So i'm very dissapointed because i can't do nothing. I have lastpass only in my phone. I can't communicate with you because your emails is not responding. What can i do??? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I am still experiencing login trouble after attempting to reset MFA via lastpass.com. Sent you a message last night. I think part of problem is I am traveling for business and not on my home computer or network.

Hi, I am also unable to log in because of an authenticator app reset. I cannot submit a ticket because I cannot log in.

Yesterday, 12 Oct 2023. I was asked to reset my Authenticator App. I did so. A new entry appeared in my Google authenticator.

Thereafter I decided to disable the Multifactor Authentication.

I have successfully disabled Multifactor Authentication for my account. I got the message:

"You've disabled this multifactor authentication service for your account: Multifactor.

Now you can access your LastPass vault with your email address and master password.

To re-enable Multifactor authentication, go to 'Account Settings' in your LastPass vault.

Thank you."

I Also got the email stating Multifactor authentication disabled.

Thereafter, when I'm trying to log into my A/cc using "Email address" and Master Password, I am still being asked for the Multifactor Authentication 6 digit passcode.

I've gone through the whole process many times showing success every time yet I'm stuck in the loop of 6 digit authenticator passcode.

When I'm giving the correct 6 digit Google Multifactor Authenticator passcode I'm getting the error message:

"Multifactor authentication failed!"

I have tried to get OTP to my registered mobile number.

I'm getting OTP successfully but still getting stuck with "Multifactor authentication failed!"

I'm unable to contact support as there is no way I can log into my A/cc

I'm having the same issue. I was asked to update my TFA, and now after updating, I can no longer log in. I can log in offline mode on mobile, but cannot log in to get support. If I use the button on the page linked, I enter my email address, and never get a response.
