I'm been forced to upgrade my master password but get this error at the encryption phase.
'Somethiing went wrong'
Screenshot attached.
I can't ever upgrade my account to get any support. Any ideas ?
Seems this is a common problem and it doesn't help trying other browsers. I can't even login to upgrade my account so I get formal support.
Same here - impossible to get in touch with support either, without going through huge validation process..... I need to get my passwords, or i can't get in anywhere.
I am having the exact same issue. I received a notification that the master password was too short.
It is a forced update and you cannot see your passwords until you have signed in - and I need access to my passwords that are currently not viewable even though I supply a valid master password since the form immediately shows up (AKA: I cannot browse my passwords due to a change that was introduced without prior notice).
Submitted the form with correct information and received the same notification.
So far I have a attempted with:
Same here, Can't login to anything and support is not reachable
For those with the same issue. I managed to change my password using a Windows laptop on the Edge browser. It failed every time on Mac with chrome and safari. I did also contact support on X/Twitter. They responded but not sure if they did anything.
Does anyone from support watch this community forum ?
I have the same problem here - on all possible devices and on all browsers
this is probably a more than embarrassing incident for LastPass - I can only hope that this bug will be fixed as soon as possible
As mentioned here, using an alternate web browser may help.
Also, clearing out the current browser's cookies to ensure there isn't a history of the old password stored within.
If problems persist, please report the affected device, web browser, and LastPass version installed.
Also worth gathering to further an investigation: Console + Network log files from the browser/device in use. The directions for this may vary depending upon your specific environment, so just search our support center for "Console and Network logs", then select the article that fits your situation.
Thank you.
