I'm planning on trying password managers with free trials or free versions. So far, after spending a lot of time researching, and now just starting the try outs, I'm beginning to think I should stick with my old method of making up good passwords and keeping track of them in a notebook.
Having read several articles on using password managers as browser plugins being less secure, I hoped to use LastPass from the desktop. For some reason I was able to easily install the desktop vault, (even though I see from posts that people have lots of problems with that) but don't really know how to use it. I've got a lot to learn about password managers in general. Is there a tutorial for using it from the desktop? Although I'm a bit nervous now since others are having so many problems.
