I'm using Google Authenticator as my 2FA device to log into LastPass.
LastPass doesn't have a master code, they have something call Grid. The way the grid works is that it generates a custom grid which you print out or export to a CSV file. When you login and it ask for a 2fa, you can select the grid method and it will prompt for 4 digit using grid coordinates. This is fairly similar to the printed code.
Note that this is only for 2FA so if you forget your master password, you won't be able to login. Backup code for google are just for 2FA, too.

That's exactly what I was looking for, and I never would have guessed it by the description on the page.
What's the plan for this now that grid is going away? I see no viable alternatives for 2fa backup.
