Why do bank accounts not have a password field?

Question

Surely a bank account is more important, than most other accounts, signified by the large number of fields. But for some reason the password field is missing. Are we expected to make 2 entries for our bank accounts? One extra just for the password. Why would that be? I find that really annoying and will just put the extra stuff in the notes field of a password entry instead.

I am sorry, I know what you are referring to:

The bank account option there is a form fill item. The information that you can enter on it is about your bank account which could be used to fill an online form if required, not the credentials to log into their website. To save your username and password to log into a bank website, please use the password option.

I am sorry about the issues you are having with the password for your bank accounts. The way on how the password was saved could vary depending on how you saved the password and how the login page of the site works. You can see the multiple ways to save a password from the following page article.

If the site first shows the username field, and then takes you to another page where to enter your password. I would suggest to try deleting the item in that website. Log in entering your username and password. After logging in, a notification from the extension should ask if you want to save the credentials. Click on save and verified if they were stored correctly.
