Hello, mine is already turned on, but when I went to my apps update area, LP is NOWHERE to be found in the list.

I can't even find it in the playstore, so I can't even get it to update through the playstore.

Hello, what about Chrome beta? I use this version instead of the pre-installed Chrome and I can't enable the new setting in Lastpass. Could you please enable this feature to work with Chrome beta as well?

I'm sorry for any frustrations this change may have caused.

Due to the requirements put in place by Google, we had to update the software from our end, which for security reasons is only available for newer operating system versions. If you are not able to update the Android OS, then you will not be able to re-install LastPass.

When I try to update to v6.32 Google play store says lastpass no longer supports my device (Samsung galaxy note9). How can I update?

I can't even see it in the playstore & I have no idea how to find the area to open uninstall, update, NOTHING.

I will NOT be forced to buy a new more toxic phone just to use these apps.

Are you saying that I can't use LP ever again even though it's on my phone & I'm paying for something I can't use, or I just can't have autofill enabled or ever update it?

Stop advising something you have advised against in the past. Autofill is a security issue. DO NOT TURN IT ON !

When turned on, Lastpass will fill the information even when accessing a malicious site. When a site is hacked or DNS is spoofd, lastpass add-on will fill in the information and thereby delivering security information to the hackers.

Earlier advise from you and other password managers was that autofill was insecure and should be turned off. Why are you neglecting this advise and willingly pushing users to less secure methodes?

This feature should be completely removed from the app, and specially on Android.

Listen to your own advice or better yet, listen to the advice that security specialist give.

!! Advise to all users, disable autofill, only allow filling of fields by a user intervention (klikking a option and such). !!

@JoSoT - I didn't know that.

I don't believe in all of the FEAR PORN about security issues (I know who's behind it & why they are doing it, meaning their end game), but the autofill part I didn't know about.

They still haven't answer my question about whether I can still USE LP despite not being on the latest version of Android.

On a hunch, I updated Chrome on my phone to the latest version, and it solved the problem. The old version was 124.0.6367.179, and the new version is 138.0.7204.157.

When I opened Chrome after updating it, it asked whether it should use Google or another service for autofill. It was already set for Google, so I set it to "other service." Then, when I opened LastPass and looked at the autofill settings, "Turn on autofill for Chrome" was already selected.

I don't know whether the problem was an incompatibility with the older version of Chrome, or that Chrome as it was pre-installed on the phone was set up to use Google as its autofill service.

I upgraded to a new phone with Android 14 so I could install the latest LastPass app and turn on autofill for Chrome. But when I installed the app and went to enable the option, the "Turn on autofill for Chrome" option was greyed out. That is, it's there, but not selectable. I tried logging out and uninstalling/reinstalling the app, but it made no difference.

I opened a case with LastPass support last night. So far it hasn't been resolved.

To keep LastPass autofill working properly on your Android device, follow these steps:

Open the LastPass app.

Go to Settings > Autofill.

Enable Autofill for Chrome.

alright I found a solution, I've enabled Chrome, activated the setting in LP, activated the setting in both Chrome and Chrome beta and then disabled Chrome again.

Hello, still no updates about Chrome beta. I use this version instead of the regular one and the setting is greyed out in LastPass so I cannot enable it. You should enable the setting for Chrome beta as well!
